This is Superintendent Scott Elliott with an important message about our final pick up of print material during remote learning for K8 students and cap and gown pick up for seniors.
All K8 parents are asked to visit schools on this Friday, May 15 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. or from 3:30 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. for the final pick up of curriculum materials for students and to bring back any completed learning materials up to that date. This will be the final collection and distribution of remote learning materials before the last day of school on May 29.
Also, all Watauga High School Seniors should visit Watauga High School this Thursday, May 14 from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m. or from 1 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. to return their chromebooks and pick up their caps and gowns. Specific instructions for seniors will be sent via email.
Students in grades K-11 will return their laptops during the week of June 1st. Students and parents will receive more specific information with dates and times closer to that date. Again, seniors should return their laptop computers on May 14 when they pick up caps and gowns.
Finally, the meal distribution site that has been operating at Brushy Fork Baptist Church will be relocated to Cove Creek School starting tomorrow, Monday, May 11. The site will serve meals from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m. each weekday. We continue to encourage all families to visit these sites and pick up free meals for your children.
