The Board of Education Recognized Watauga County School's principals for National Principals Month. Watauga County Board of Education

The Watauga County Board of Education was presented with the Gold Bell Award by the North Carolina School Boards. The Golden Bell award is the highest professional development honor available to boards of education and recognizes that all five board members have met the association’s highest standards for the completion of training that strengthens their understanding of their roles as board members.

Watauga County Schools Director of Exceptional Children's Programs Dr. Mike Marcella recognized Cori Braxton as Watauga's Exceptional Children's Program Operator of Excellence.

Servants Heart award winner recognized.

Superintendent Scott Elliott and Hardin Park EC teacher Haley Gowdy recognized Susan McKay, Sue Shoemake and the Boone Civitan Club for their service to Watauga County Schools.

WHS students recognized.

Watauga High School students Emerson Huffman, Li Yang, Amanda Holman , Roxana Galan-Gomez and Abraham Bachman were recognized for their participation in the Gear Up National Youth Leadership Summit in San Francisco, California.
