  • Canvas/PowerSchool Issues

Watauga County Schools is currently experiencing problems sharing information between PowerSchool, our student information system, and Canvas, our learning management system. Some students may not be able to access courses through Canvas or view grades in PowerSchool. We are working with these vendors and the Department of Public Instruction to resolve these issues as soon as possible, and we will notify you as soon as all services have been restored to normal.

This problem is also impacting the accuracy of what parents see through the Canvas Parent mobile app, so we recommend not using the app at this time. We will update all parents when the app is ready for use. In the meantime, if you have questions or would like updates about what's happening in your child's courses, please contact teachers by email or phone. We apologize for the inconvenience and appreciate your patience
