NC S.A.F.E (Secure All Firearms Effectively) is North Carolina's statewide initiative to raise awareness of the importance of safe firearm storage.
The NC S.A.F.E for Schools program provides school districts with timely information about safe firearm storage to share with parents and caregivers. Resources include guidance that parents/caregivers can use to talk with others about safe firearm storage.

Firearms are the leading cause of injury-related death for children and youth in NC.
42 percent of NC adults have a firearm in or around the home- and over half the firearms that are stored loaded are also stored unlocked.
