Remote Learning Book Checkout

We are pleased to provide book checkout for all remote learning and Watauga Virtual Academy students.

How to checkout a book:

• Search for new books using Destiny - Library Catalog Search
  
  • Find books using the "Search" bar
  • Search for specific books using a title or an author
    • (Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Jeff Kinney)
  • Search for more general subjects using a keyword
    • (comics, dogs, history, etc.)
  • Once you see a book you want, make sure it is available
    • If you see a red "out" above the book, it isn't available for now
  • If it is available, request this book

How to get your books:

• During the scheduled pickup and dropoff times books can be returned and new books will be available if you have requested them
  • Mondays 7:00AM - 4:00PM
  • Thursdays 7:00AM - 4:00PM

Book checkout rules:

• Students may have up to 3 books checked out at a time
• In order to continue getting new books, please turn in your old books in a timely manner
• Please pick up requested books within 7 days.
• Take care of your books!  If a book ruined or lost while checked out to you, you will need to pay for a replacement
