Welcome to 1st grade! I am super excited to be teaching 1^st grade this year! This is my 5^th year at Bethel Elementary and I love being a part of the Bethel community. First grade is such a fun year with so many exciting learning opportunities. I am committed to creating a classroom environment where all students are valued, trusted, and an integral part of our family of learners. We are honored to have Ms. Amber Yates as a TA in our classroom. She has so much classroom experience and truly loves our students!

I completed my Education degree at Appalachian State University. I also have a BS degree in Housing & Interiors from Appalachian State. I reside in Boone with my husband, 3 children, Corey, Zach and Laurel, our siberian husky, chocolate lab, and boxer/pyranees mix. We enjoy taking our dogs to play frisbee at the lake, swimming, tennis, football games and basketball games.

Welcome to 1^st grade!  I have been a teaching assistant in pre-K, K, 1^st, and 2^nd grades. I am a certified teacher and I am excited to be back at Bethel. I have one daughter, Ayla and 2 cats. I enjoy being outside walking, hiking and traveling.
