Kari Riddle 2023-2024
Parkway Teacher of the Year
Mrs. Riddle has lived in the High Country since 2014 when she began attending Appalachian State University, but she is originally from Morganton, North Carolina. Mrs. Riddle graduated from Appalachian State, got married to her husband Trevor, and began working at Parkway School all in 2018. She has her bachelor of science degree in Elementary Education and is currently finishing her master of arts degree in Literacy Education at ASU.
Mrs. Riddle was honored to be Watauga County’s Rookie Teacher of the Year for the 2018-2019 school year and she feels so blessed and proud to be a Parkway Patriot! Mrs. Riddle has been teaching 3rd grade at Parkway School for the past five years and is excited to follow in Mrs. Shelly Campbell’s footsteps as one of the Reading Specialists at Parkway!
Mrs. Riddle has two sons named Bentley and Hudson and will welcome her third son in February of 2024! Mrs. Riddle loves spending time with her family and friends, learning more about the Lord, painting her nails, and drinking Dr. Pepper.
