    fantasy shelves

This year we have begun a project to separate, relabel and arrange our fiction by genre.  This will help students locate the books they want to read without frustration or confusion.  We are looking for some volunteers to help with this process.  Please email Mrs. Brown at brownj@wataugaschools.org or stop by if you are able to help.

    YA New Furniture

Last Spring, the Media Center was excited to receive a donation of two wonderful chairs for our Young Adult section from bus driver Marie Bumgarner.  Now we are hoping to furnish a seating area in the Reference Area with comfortable loveseats and/or sturdy chairs.  If you have furniture you would consider donating, please contact Mrs. Brown at brownj@wataugaschools.org, or call 828-963-4712 x137 or stop by the Media Center.

WCS Partners with Watauga County Public Library

Watauga County Schools and the Watauga County Public Library are partnering to support students’ ongoing education. We share the belief that a love of books and learning is a strong foundation for student success and we are working together to provide every Watauga County student access to books and resources found at their public library. WCS students will be able to check out material at the public library with their student ID number starting Oct. 1.
