Mrs. Townsend

Hello!  My name is Charlena Townsend and I teach 2nd grade at Parkway School.  I have been teaching at Parkway for 11 years and have taught for 17 years.

One of my favorite things about teaching is all the ways that you can share a love for learning with your students.  Watching my students grow and change is my greatest reward.  I love creating life long relationships with them.

I have 2 daughters that go to Parkway and my husband teaches at Appalachian State University.  We spend lots of time outside as a family.  Some of my favorite things are shopping, coffee, and reading.
