Mrs. Maralee Holden - Speech
Welcome to Speech and Language! My office is housed in Bethel School, however, I serve 5 of the preschool sites in Boone. I began working for Watauga County Schools in August 2017. Just a little background about me—I am originally from Asheville, NC. I obtained my Bachelor’s degree from UNC-Chapel Hill (Go Heels!) and my Master’s degree from Western Carolina University. Prior to coming to Watauga County Schools, I worked for 2.5 years in Madison County Schools.
My philosophy for speech-language therapy is based upon hard work and practice to achieve goals, but I also want my students to have fun! Therefore, I often incorporate games into my therapy sessions. I strive to promote learning and progress while also accounting for individuality among students.
