Maintenance
In support of the School District's vision to be the best place to work and learn in North Carolina, the mission of the Watauga County Maintenance Department is to provide a safe, clean and aesthetically pleasing environment that is conducive to learning and working.
Our department is responsible for meeting the maintenance needs of 9 schools and three administrative facilities. These include eight K-8 schools, one high school, the WCS Administrative Offices, Transportation/Bus Garage, and Maintenance Facilities encompassing 845,000 square feet of building space on 225 acres. Our goal is to provide exceptional customer service to the students and staff of Watauga County Schools.
