Welcome to Mrs. Hodge's Classroom! 

I have been a part of the Mabel Family for going on five years now! I love this school and this community! I grew up near the coast of North Carolina, but after attending Appalachian State University I fell in love with the mountains! 

I teach 7th grade and 8th grade language arts and social studies.  Literature and history both are comprised of such amazing stories! That is the thing I love the most about these subjects.

My goal as a teacher is that students will grow in their ability to ask questions, think creatively, work with others, and believe in their own abilities. I hope that students recognize when they are at Mabel they are part of a community that is growing together. 

I am excited about the 2016-2017 school year! GO MUSTANGS!
