• Read, read, read!!!

Welcome to the world of first grade!  To quote Dr. Seuss, "Oh, the places you will go!"  First grade is a huge year of growth and transition.  Expectations are high and there's lots to learned in first grade.  In first grade your child will build a strong foundation of essential reading, writing, spelling, and math skills (along with science and social studies too) upon which to build a lifetime of learning.  All of that and more, and all while having a little fun too!  You will be amazed at the growth your child makes from where your child starts compared to where he finishes.  I'm looking forward to meeting all my new first graders in August!  Until then, read lots, play lots, and have a safe and fun-filled summer!  Hope to see all the parents at Parent Night on Thursday, August 18th!  There will be two parent sessions to choose from (you only need to attend one) and dinner too!  The schedule will be as follows: 3:30-4:30 (parent meeting), 4:30-5:30 dinner, and 5:30-6:30 (parent meeting offered again).  Mark the date now, and I hope to see you then!

    "Good, Better, Best...

    Never let it rest...

    'Til your good is better,

    And your better is best!"
