    Other Considerations/Notes about meal service:

    • Students will be required to wash their hands prior to meal service.  Social distancing and masks are also required throughout the meal service process.  Masks can be removed during the consumption of meals only.  Social distancing of at least 6 feet between each person is required when masks are off and students or adults are eating.
    • Students must identify using their full name or student ID# at the time of meal service.
    • Parents/guardians picking up meals curbside must have student ID# or give student full name.
    • Students are allowed one breakfast and one lunch per day only - cannot get on-site meal and delivery or curbside.
    • The Meals Plus Point of Sale software will be used to track student meals.
    • The location of meal consumption is a school-based decision.  Some options include the cafeteria dining room, student classrooms, gym or auditorium, media center, outside on weather fit days. Keep in mind that meal consumption locations should be cleaned/sanitized between students/classes.  This should be done by adults within the building and students should not be responsible for cleaning.
    • Students will be served a unitized meal through the cafeteria line in a grab and go type model, meals will not be delivered to classrooms.
    • All meals (breakfast and lunch) are served at no charge to students through December 31st, however; families should continue to complete free/reduced meal applications.  It is important that these be submitted and approved prior to December when the waivers expire and students will be required to pay for meals.
    • Some a la carte items will be available for student purchase but will not be self serve.  The options will be limited to a couple of snack items and bottled beverages.
    • Menus will be simple and entree options will be limited.
